Scheduling your release date properly is very important for a successful launch. On DireNote Media, release timelines depend on your subscription plan.
Before selecting a release date, you must understand your plan’s processing time.
Release processing time based on plan:
For Diamond Plan users, the standard review and delivery time is 3 working days.
Working days do not include:
* Saturday
* Sunday
* Government holidays
If you submit your release on Friday, the review may start from Monday, depending on queue and holidays.
Step 1: Check your subscription plan
Log in to your DireNote Media dashboard and confirm your active subscription plan. Each plan has a defined processing time mentioned in your subscription details.
Always calculate release dates based on working days, not calendar days.
Step 2: Choose your Main Release Date
The Main Release Date is the official public release date when your music goes live on all selected platforms.
Important tips:
* Upload your release at least 7 to 14 days before your desired release date
* This gives enough time for review, delivery, and platform processing
* It also allows time for playlist pitching and marketing
Step 3: Set the Original Release Date (if applicable)
The Original Release Date is used if the music was previously released before.
For example:
* If the song was released in 2022 and you are re-distributing it
* If you are transferring your catalog from another distributor
If it is a brand-new release, you can keep the original release date same as the main release date.
Step 4: Select Exclusive Release Date (Optional)
DireNote Media allows you to choose an Exclusive Release Date for platforms like:
* Spotify
* Apple Music
This means your song can go live on Spotify and Apple Music first, before other platforms.
This strategy is useful if you want:
* Platform-focused promotion
* Early playlist pitching
* Exclusive marketing campaigns
If you do not want exclusivity, you can leave this option unselected.
Step 5: Submit Early to Avoid Delays
Even if your plan says 3 working days, it is always recommended to upload at least 10 days in advance.
Delays can happen due to:
* Metadata corrections
* Artwork guideline issues
* Platform manual review
* High submission volume
Submitting early protects your marketing strategy.
Step 6: Plan Your Promotion Around Release Date
Once your release date is scheduled:
* Start social media promotion
* Prepare pre-save campaigns
* Announce release countdown
* Pitch through Spotify for Artists
Proper scheduling ensures your music goes live on time and avoids last-minute stress.
