You can monetize your music on YouTube using Content ID directly through your DireNote Media dashboard during the release upload process.

YouTube Content ID allows you to earn revenue when your music is used in other people’s videos on YouTube.

This system automatically detects your audio and places a claim on videos that use your music.

Before enabling YouTube Content ID, make sure:

* The release is 100% original
* You own all rights to the audio
* No unlicensed samples are used
* The track is not a type beat or purchased non-exclusive beat
* The release is not already enrolled in another distributor’s Content ID system

YouTube Content ID is available only for original releases.

How to enable YouTube Content ID while uploading:

Step 1: Log in to your DireNote Media dashboard
Step 2: Start a new release upload
Step 3: Fill in release metadata and upload audio
Step 4: When you see the YouTube Content ID option, select “Yes”
Step 5: Complete and submit your release

Once approved and delivered, your track will be enrolled in YouTube’s Content ID system.

How YouTube Content ID works:

* YouTube scans videos across the platform
* If your audio is detected, a claim is placed
* Ads may run on that video
* You earn revenue from monetized views

Important notes:

* Cover songs are not eligible for Content ID
* Remixes are not eligible unless you own full rights
* Background music libraries and royalty-free beats are not eligible
* False claims can lead to removal from the program

If your track does not meet eligibility requirements, Content ID may be disabled or your release may be rejected.

YouTube Content ID helps you protect your music and generate additional revenue from user-generated content.
